Kaleshwaram Temple, also known as Kaleshwara Mukteshwara Swamy Temple, is a sacred and ancient Shiva temple located in the village of Kaleshwaram, on the banks of River Godavari in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district, Telangana. It’s one of those rare temples where two Shiva Lingas — Lord Shiva (Kaleshwara) and Lord Yama (Mukteshwara) — are found on the same pedestal, known as Panavattam.
Because of this, the temple is believed to be a place where both life and death are worshipped, and it’s often called the Triveni Sangam of Lingas. Many people visit during Karthika Masam or to perform Pitru karmas and Abhishekams for ancestral blessings.
